Boil Water Advisory

From Jerome Buening, Saint Paul Water Superintendent.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY
For a select area described below.
Applies to drinking and cooking water only.

In consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, it has been determined that water customers in the area along Water Street between S. Co. Line Rd. and S. Taylor, and along S. Co. Line Rd between Jefferson and S. Pierce Street should boil their drinking water. This routine precautionary measure is recommended because we shut down and repaired a leaking water main at the intersection of S. Taylor and Water Street.

It is recommended that all cooking and drinking water be brought to a complete boil for five (5) minutes before using. Please continue to boil all cooking and drinking water until we notify you that it is no longer necessary.

IDEM requires that water samples be taken at 24 hour intervals with two consecutive good results reported to make sure the water is safe. Our testing laboratory is closed during the weekend, so expect that the boil advisory may continue until Wednesday, Sept 23. We will make every effort to have the results back before then.

We appreciate your cooperation during this time and will update you as necessary. If you have any questions concerning the drinking water problem, please contact your water department at 765.525.6343.
